The Ann Camden Hospital
wchps011013.jpg
In the Ann Camden Memorial Hospital and the Dr. Andrew G. Clark Annex, the citizens of Parkersburg, West Virginia, possess an institution of which they may be proud, and which will compare favorably in the quality of service given with the finest hospitals in the country.
The architects, Hannaford & Hannaford, of Cincinnati, have been highly complimented by the local physicians. The plumbing and heating material was furnished by the Cincinnati Branch of Crane Co., and was installed by the George H. Stansbury Plumbing Co. of Parkersburg.
The building and grounds were made attractive by the liberal planting of palms, ferns and greenery. The operating tables and other surgical equipment have been pronounced the equal of any to be found in any institution of the kind. The preparatory rooms for the doctors and nurses are provided with lavatories and baths and a sterilizing room for the surgical apparatus.
The building is heated by two Kewanee boilers. In the basement are the X-Ray laboratory, autopsy, refrigeration and storage rooms as well as the laundry. Every ward has complete facilities for the efficient handling of patients and has ample equipment for the care of any case known to surgery
